The Center Point Office Building developed by GTC Hungary was handed over in 2006, and since then a major technical renovation took place in 2014. In 2019, the restaurant operating in the office building underwent a change of operator, at which time the management of the office building decided to break with the standard canteen design and want to create a completely innovative, youthful and relaxed community space in its place, keeping the community catering function in focus. MádiLáncos Studio was entrusted with the preparation of the interior design plans, who contacted the new operator of the kitchen at the beginning of the project and got to know his design ideas. During the first negotiations, it became clear that the goal of the renovation, in addition to maximum space utilization, is to create a timeless yet fresh service area with an industrial atmosphere yet cozy, which can be attractive to the employees of the office building not only during lunch time, but during the entire opening hours.

In the 180 square metre internal floor area and on the related external terrace, a number of different seating options have been created: the high tables placed along the facade glass wall are excellent for enjoying a quick lunch or coffee, while the seats with armchairs provide a comfortable opportunity for one-on-one informal meetings. The irregularly shaped high counter placed near the entrance creates an informal atmosphere with the integrated pot plant. The design and the use of materials are based on industrial style features. The grey-looking machinery is made more friendly by floating wood panels. Wood-effect ceramic and painted metal sheet surfaces, pale green tile pillar coverings and bronze accessories are counterpoints. The plants placed on openwork metal grids, tables and counters further dissolve the atmosphere of the space.
