In 2006, Erste Bank Hungary Ltd. moved into the Europa Tower, which was considered particularly modern at the time, where there had been no renovation of the entire building for 10 years. Their spaces were not uniform: the offices were characterized by different wall colors, design concepts, and impersonal design. The aim of the project was primarily to make the new Erste culture felt in everyday work. We have designed an attractive, modern and at the same time functional office concept, which promotes agile work processes and faster decision-making, and increases employee satisfaction. We created living room-like spaces to give our colleagues the comfort and freedom of home. Previously, the Danube panorama was the main attraction of the Tower, now the new office concept is also competitive among generation Y and Z employees, and reflects the culture, dynamism and modernity of Erste.

WE DESIGNED THE OFFICE FLOORS BASED ON FOUR MAIN VALUES:

Open: We broke down the walls and the hierarchy! The managers (also Board members) work in the open office. Decision-making became faster. “WE” prevails instead of “ME” - You can relax, create and negotiate in the collaboration zones with a living atmosphere. You can work on bean bags, sitting on couches, next to the light of a standing lamp. The base of the area remains, but anyone can use the spaces and meeting rooms. There is no designated desk for anyone, which is conducive to project work. The “quick spot” by the windows allows you to work standing at high tables or sitting on ergonomic high chairs, while a fabulous panorama unfolds before us. Efficient: The meeting rooms have glass walls and are furnished with sofas and poufs as needed. Instead of a flipchart, you can also write on the wall, and the necessary tools for video conferencing are also provided. The stepped furniture of the “Arena” is a place for informal meetings and presentations. It consists of mobile elements, its design makes it mobile as well as suitable for storage.

Social: Communal dining rooms and creative living rooms are great for building relationships over a delicious coffee or lunch. Colleagues quickly discovered that the premises are also suitable for celebrations, so they regularly organize birthday greetings, award ceremonies, project closures, and maternity leave parties here.

Private: In the Quiet Zones, soundproof screens ensure quiet work. The personal items were placed in private lockers, for which we designed a unique welcome stationery package, which included a stationery box, felt bag, bag tag, lanyard and 4 styles to choose from. The package helps with quick and convenient unpacking and packing.

After the first completed office floor, moods calmed down noticeably, the previous worries turned into anticipation, as the change became tangible, which apparently proved attractive among colleagues.
