The goal was to create a homely environment reflecting the company’s values in the classic, elegant, high-ceilinged spaces. Knowing the working methods of the workers here and the necessary functions, MádiLáncos Studio took advantage of the features of the space and designed clean, transparent spatial connections. The new Egon Zehnder office is an excellent example of how classic spaces and modern office design can coexist in harmonious symbiosis. By entering the foyer, we find ourselves in a fresh and pleasant environment. In many cases, the exclusive guests who come here take part in confidential conversations and negotiations, so there are several alternative options for spending the waiting time in the spaces organized in the inner atrium, thereby avoiding unwanted encounters. The large meeting room opens directly from the foyer, which, due to its divided layout, is suitable for holding small, private meetings and larger, official negotiations, as well as professional breakfasts and other events.
The three-person assistant office also opens from the vestibule and overlooks Szabadság Square. Employees work at tables that can be lifted electrically, which ensures ergonomic work. In the curved extension of the office, a lounge with a living room atmosphere was created, which serves as a rest area for employees, but is also suitable for receiving guests. The three consulting offices are located next to each other, and their furniture and use of colors have been completely customized. The solid partition walls between the offices are surrounded by glass inserts on 3 sides, this gesture imitates the unification of the spaces, while the privacy film placed on the glass preserves the feeling of a private office. The consulting offices not only include workplaces, but also a friendly meeting corner, which provides a pleasant environment for conversations and interviews. Next to the private offices is the room for the researchers, who work at tables that can be raised, similar to assistant workstations. Egon Zehnder often employs students, for whom a four-person workbench was placed in this space.
The wooden surfaces and lively wall graphics of the common tea kitchen create a pleasant atmosphere for employees to enjoy lunches and birthday celebrations, but it also provides an opportunity for community programs outside of meals. A rich use of color appears in the office. The cranberry color used as a wall color in the foreground is part of the graphic image of Egon Zehnder. In addition, an elegant and understated 3D logo appears near the entrance. In the large spaces, wooden parquet evokes the original atmosphere of the building, and the island-like carpets on them give the spaces a homely feel. The general office lighting is complemented by suspended lighting fixtures with an acoustic surface, decorative wall and floor lamps.
