The interior design of the new office wings being built in Graphisoft Park and the renovation of the then almost 10-year-old existing building began at the end of 2015. As a result of the scheduled work, the S2-3 building wings were first handed over in the summer of 2017. It was followed by the S4-5 building wings, and finally the renovation of the existing building was completed by the end of 2018. At the beginning of the project, delegates representing the various organizational units participated in workshops, where the designers could get to know the organizational structure and the working methods of SAP. During an online survey, all employees were given the opportunity to express their expectations and ideas about the new office. From these, two dominant expectations were outlined: the need for easy access to meeting rooms and collaboration spaces and the need to minimize conditions that interfere with concentrated work.

The main reason for this is that the existing meeting rooms were built on the facades, generating a lot of traffic through the office from the direction of the stairwells; taking away natural light from workplaces. The results of the preparatory work were already used during the preparation of the first floor plan sketches. The open offices were placed in the brighter green-facing spaces along the facade; while the other functions (meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, focus rooms and photocopiers) were placed in the inner zones, forming the walls of the open space. In this way, all the necessary functions became available to everyone in a few steps, thus minimizing the disturbing traffic within the level. An additional advantage of the resulting inner cores is that they divide the levels into human-scale, homely spaces. The boundary walls were moved in terms of floor plan, introducing dynamics and exciting insights into the spaces.

The work is typically done in smaller groups, the composition of which varies from project to project. To make communication between members more efficient, the workstations can be moved. The office space can be rearranged with just a few moves, as the teams are separated from each other only by light partitions. Everything serves maximum flexibility. The playfulness resulting from the changing arrangement is also reinforced by the interior design elements of the space: the arrangement of the light fixtures, the divisions and patterns of the wall covering panels, and even the color spots on the walls are random.

The theme of the levels originates from the previous conference names: Puli (puli), Komondor (commodore), Harcsa (catfish), Vidra (otter), Uhu (uhu), Sárgarigó (yellow thrush). The ground floor is built from mineral resources and earth colors, the first floor from the waters of our country and the colors associated with them. On the top level, the colors of the sky and elements related to it dominate. In addition to the colors, the earth, the water (shore) and the sky echo in the graphics, the choice of lamps and the design of the furniture. In the choice of materials, acoustics, quality and sustainability played the main role: a floor mat made of recycled materials with a comfort backing, sound-absorbing wall coverings (perforated MDF, felt, upholstered surfaces) and suspended ceilings improve the comfort of working. On the walls, writing surfaces have been created close to the workplaces, around which short discussions and brainstorming can take place.

For lunch and coffee breaks, spacious and bright tea kitchens with terrace connections are located at the center of gravity of the building on each floor, which serve as a real community meeting place after the previous dark kitchens of a few square metres. Their more relaxed atmosphere and stronger colors serve to momentarily break away from the work environment and recharge.
