Novo Nordisk’s domestic subsidiary moved into its new office on the 7th floor of the Buda Part Gate office building this summer. The building’s green rating (LEED GOLD) and easy accessibility were important factors in the selection of the new office. The purpose of the move was to create a professional and efficient work environment that promotes collaboration, which represented a major change compared to the previous cell-style apartment office.

During the design of the new, mostly single-space office, the comfort of the employees, the stress-free environment, where they can do focused work without disturbing each other, was a key consideration. The work groups were created in the new office with this in mind. The placement of each group took into account their noise exposure and mobility. We installed telephone and meeting booths and small meeting rooms near the workplaces to minimize noise and traffic inside the office. The meeting corner with high tables and benches, suitable

for informal discussions, and the entrance lounge were installed away from the workplaces, at the junctions of the main traffic routes. The closed management offices are bordered by glass walls in the name of transparency and accessibility. The office’s most exciting community space is the canteen – work café complex, where you can work, relax, and celebrate in addition to eating meals and drinking coffee.

The design concept represents Scandinavian simplicity and homeliness derived from the corporate image. In addition to the white and wooden surfaces, various shades of blue appear, complemented by warm orange furniture. An essential element of the concept is biophilia, plants, in addition to their well-being and decorative functions, play an important role in the division of the open-plan office and in the visual separation of work groups. All workplaces are uniformly equipped with motorized tables and high-quality ergonomic chairs. The furniture of the meeting rooms and community spaces is diverse in order to serve as many forms of collaboration as possible.
