Parallel to the introduction of the agile working method, NN entrusted MádiLáncos Studio with the interior design of its office to be built in the F building of Váci Greens, as well as the customer service office to be built on the ground floor of the E building. In addition to the radically new working method – agile working – the client also wanted to break with the previous office environment. Instead of the strict, rigid and extremely elegant world of the existing office, we set out to create a homely, bubbly, colorful and inspiring work environment that is attractive to the younger generation and enables flexible working. When designing the floor plan, we tried to create smaller units of 8-10 people, including small and large collaboration spaces, which motivate people to collaborate, share information, and brainstorm ideas.

The main organizer of the floor plan system was the canteen, placed in the center of the office area, whose position has symbolic significance. It is the central meeting space for employees, which is the place for meals at lunchtime, and functions as a work café. The space is divided by a free-standing kitchen island, smaller, homely zones are formed, where varied furniture provides opportunities for focused individual work as well as small group work. The intense traffic resulting from the central location of the canteen made it necessary to create acoustically isolated traffic lanes in the one-space office. We organized the various functions into well-separated zones, and these were visually loosened with interior design tools and furniture.

The floor covering consists of several types of organic carpet fields with a texture reminiscent of nature, the alternating rhythm of which escapes the right-angled, rigid system of the building. Spaces for collaboration, relaxation and recharge are marked by an open ceiling and colorful patches of flooring; thereby creating an atmosphere that is completely different from the workplace environment, and that temporarily distracts you from your daily work. The meeting blocks were placed along the traffic cores, so corridors were formed in these areas, which were colored with hand-painted graphic elements, geometric wall planter grids

and alternating acoustic panels. Homely, rounded shapes, the use of natural materials and bold colors, as well as the placement of as many plants as possible, were important aspects of the furniture.
