The interior design of building D fits into the overall concept of the entire NI Debrecen campus.

The large open-plan office areas on the floors were treated with subtle design tools: by rotating the carpet fields, opening up the suspended ceiling partially, and rotating the ceiling grid.

The single-space workplaces are divided into livable-sized units by designated informal collaboration rooms. Sound absorbing wooden grid ceiling was used in the kitchen areas and arround the central core. The atmosphere of the campus is is determined by the unique and characteristic color concept of the different buildings. The color scheme of building “D” is olive green and bright orange, which is apparent on the walls and used on the built-in furniture surfaces. The wall surfaces of the meeting rooms were covered with sound-absorbing panels and writable glass surfaces. Our graphical artists have designed unique wallpapers and glass films that highlight NI’s core values.

The ground floor, in addition to the reception, holds a number of community functions, which are meant to serve the cooperation and well-being of the employees: a conference room, an arena space connected to the viewing staircase, a small “marketplace” and a well-equipped gym. The reception and the stepped arena square are organized on the main road of the campus, which connects several buildings. This makes the arena a perfect meeting place for employees working in different buildings and external visitors. The spacious

communal spaces are completed with interactive projection surfaces, varied furniture and acoustic screens on the ceiling.
